Hello i have a question on omaha winning hand and cannot find the answer. Here is my first example ( no flush available)

Omaha
player one holds JJ45
player two holds QJ83

board reads
KK8 3 2

Who wins this pot? is it player one using KK on board along with JJ for two pair making Kings and Jacks or is it player two making two pair Eights and Threes using both cards from starting hand or would he have Kings and Eights???

Second Example (no flush available)
player one holds A8J4
player two holds QJ83

Board reads
KKK 8 3

Who wins this pot player one or player two???

I'm confused lol and don't know why. Please help

Thanks so much

K's and J's win first one. A8J4 wins second with KKKA8 other guy would have KKKQJ you win with the A basically

You MUST use 2 cards from your hole cards in the final hand.

First hand player 1 has KKJJ8 and player 2 has KK88Q. Player 2 would only have a hand like 8s and 3s if the board was A8322 or something, in which case his hand would be A8833 (best hand right, Ks and 8s are obv better than 8s and 3s).

Second hand was explained by above poster.

the first hand is correct, but the second hand i belive that the winning hand would be K K K A J. its a combination of your best 2 hole cards and 3 on the board, the 8 is irrelivent because you need something to go with it in your hand (like another 8 ) therefor the J is better than the 8 i hope this clears things up for you

the player with jj45 wins he has two pair k's and js while at best the other players had ks an 8s because you are required to use two out of the four cards you posses in your hand no more and no less to make the best hand.
