I like Omaha, in this game you can play on any cards and they drop out well and you can quickly put together any combinations, I play Omaha but I like more Hold'em, many players do not like Omaha, it's for the amateur

For Omaha h/l you need to see flop i think, it is very hard and interesting type of poker.

I tend to play hands that have the capability to scoop both high and low. By playing high cards only, you are giving up half the pot before you start.

I think it depends on the game you're in (cash, tournament, short handed or full ring, etc) and the players you're with, but if the only hands you play are the premium two-way draws or the very best high-only hands, then you're going to whiff on a lot of flops and you're going to be very predictable.

I like O H/L and I would agree those are the best starting hands. A lot of times you can sneak in with that pair and hit a set and win. Lots of monster hands in Omaha so sets probably only win half the time. I must confess sometimes when I play O H/L I get so caught up in the game I am only playing regular Omaha and forget about the low. I need to concentrate more when I join a H/L game.

All face cards albeit playable for a limp aren't quality hands for Omaha 8. When you play these types of hands you limit yourself to only 1/2 the max and can sometimes get just a 1/4. You can put yourself in the worst spot possible when you and your opponent make the nut high but he also makes the nut low. In any 8 or better game you should be playing for scoops.

Omaha I do not know well, but how many times I tried to play I realized that for an ograssive game I need a minimum three of a kind

I like suited ace with another colour on the side, qj kq etc. A2 suited is nice to start with.

Board dependant game but these are good starting hands. Great starting hands always include an ace with either a 2 or 3. Some other good hands are an A with a big pair and a small card, An ace with a broadway card and two small cards. If hands are suited they are very powerful.

Stack sizes are a big factor. If I can stick someone all in preflop I can play the big pairs 2 small cards e.g. like QQ45 JJ24 or even a decent one way hand like A99Q.

Starting hands above are great but must be weary of board one bad card can change hand so I do not slow play big hands. An ace and sometimes a 2 on a later street can change the low nuts and can be the difference from you you either winning half the pot/scooping and you loosing the hand or getting quarted. Note if you can recognise when these cards come and could put your opponent on their right range they are great bluffing spot.
