I'm sure you can easily find the rules by googling omaha h/l.. basically omaha h is just the regular omaha you're accustomed to.. the player with the best 5 card poker hand using 3 of the community cards and 2 of your hole cards wins... when you play omaha h/l also referred to as omaha 8 or better... you have 2 pots playing .. a low pot and high pot.. the high pot is for the best high hand which you normally play for... but theres also a low hand.. a low hand is won by acheiving the best low hand possible (A,2,3,4,5) is the best possible.. flushes and straightes dont matter... but in order for a low pot to qualify you need a 8 low hand... if no low hand qualifies there is only a high pot.. if there is a low hand then half the pot is won by the player who wins the high pot and half is won by the player who has the best low hand...

For regular Omaha I would say that is a good starting hand. In Omaha H/L you want hands like A2KJ, A2KQ, A2(any pkt pr), since you have the chance of winning the low pot or the high pot (or both preferably) you want your starting options to be open to both sides of the pot.

With omaha H/L split, you want to be playing card combinations that give you the nut low draw, plus ways to make a high hand.

Good low combinations include: A2, A3, 23

Other low combinations that don't play for high extremely well are pretty unplayable. So the only hand without those low combinations that I would play would be like 3456 double suited. But even then, that's pretty speculative.

You can also play high only hands in late position. Stuff like QQJJ, KQJT, ect. are playable in late position with either a very large multiway pot (worth winning only half) or in an unopened pot (since you can raise, and often steal the blinds).

But that's all advice for limit omaha 8. Pot limit, I have no idea, but generally you want to be even more focused on playing to scoop since the bets are larger & the pots are less multi-way.
