So I go to the casino on saturday night and its packed for some huge holiday giveaway.. literally 15-20x as many tables going as usual..Well ive only been five times now.. But anyway I buyin wait a little bit and literally had some crazy pocket cards for a streak.. Started with AA got a 20 raise called by 5 bet flop everyone folded so it started good.. then got pocket 77's.. called small raise hit nothing folded.. got 77's again... called another small raise went to flop with 3 others.. board 245.. checks around to me i bet out 25 get 2 callers.. turn A.. bet, call, and i fold it now.. put them on A5 maybe like weak A10.. Anyway next hand i get QQ's.. table notices ive played a ton of hands in row and starts making comments about me.. saying i dont know pot control and raise to much preflop and all kinds of small insults.. Well pocket QQ's nonetheless.. small raise in front of me i pop it to 25 get 4 callers to flop.. Board comes 996.. checks around to me so i bet 45.. pot was 125 but they get butthurt about my sizes.. well i get 1 guy who check raises me to all in...... god.. So i look down everyone is like ohhhh seeee blah blah blah.. but i cant call.. i put him on k9 maybe a9.. maybe bigger pocket pair because he was the original preraiser before my reraise.. so i lay down the QQ.. Then i swear i am not lying i got AK.. And the dealer switched!! well AK and I am a little bit hurting now even after such a great streak of cards.. so i raise it pre to 25.. guys saying " now thats what you call a steam raise" and i get 4 callers.. well the guy the kicked me off my QQs bets out on flop of 4KQ and i just reraise all in. I was putting him on probably J10 maybe Q10.. Nonetheless they are like oh he sucks hes steamed blah blah blah so he calls me.. i flip AK everyones like wow nice hand.. totally fake it sounds like.. but anyway he doesnt even flip his cards over just holds them in his hand while turn and river then he mucks says nice hand and now im up 30% chip stack after that streak.. but damn.. and then after that they started to call me "the greatest" such dicks right? if only they knew.. tipped dealer 10.. but i still went broke on K10 on button i raise to 20 get 1 caller... flop 4210.. he bets 15 i raise to 35 he calls.. turn J..He checks.. I decide to bet 65 into pot of about 100.. he calls.... im like damn at this point.. then river comes 10.. so 4210J10... He bets me all in... So i think about it.. he probably has A10.. I think in my heart I probably knew.. but i was so hoping for Q10.. i knew he didnt have J10.. so i call.. but he had A10.. out kicked me and i lose.. had a decent 5 hour session but i need to work on some areas like what can i spot in real life as opponent tendencies.. i have trouble finding useful tendencies to spot.. also anyone have improvements on the hands i posted? i had a rough time for such great cards as well..

Drink and poker are not great, stay sober and stay in profit. When i play live i keep it to a couple of beers but lots of coffee and water.

Anything you do that can have a negative effect on you when playing poker will cause you to lose value in the long run (-EV). Having a drink or two is perfectly fine, just make sure not to go overboard with it.

Something that will come to you eventually is to trust your gut in tough situations. As shown in the final hand, you had the right idea but pulling off the correct move can be difficult at times.

Something tells me that you did well enough that you are anxious to return. Listen to the advise here, decline the alcohol.

Also people live their betting habits are alot different than what you will find online.... yes you get some by the book aggro players, but most of the time you will find the game to be a lot slower betting than online... rarely do you see some one come over the top or check raise with anything less than AA preflop, or after the flop the nuts...

Xmas gamblers. SAD.

Table thought you were a donk and started calling you.
That was excellent. This is exactly what you want!!!

Nothing wrong with losing with trips 10s and a K kicker.
He just had kicker.

Try to use spaces !!!

I was upto 1 grand the first ever time i went but

Worst thing that can happen to a new gambler. You will lose that $1000 10 times over.

Constant all in's will eventually bust you. Try to learn about put sizing and betting like 50% of the pot. When you go all in, it's pretty obvious and you won't get calls (except when its a cooler)
