For those who got the answer wrong...STOP TRYING TO TRAP PEOPLE ON DRAWY BOARDS ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU DONT KNOW EXACTLY WHAT 2 CARDS THEY HOLD.
Why has this guy reraised?
Is he bluffing
? well in that case he folds to your bet, but he wasnt putting any more money in the pot anyway (unless he hit a mirical suckout card) so you lose nothing by betting.
Is he on a draw? Well if you reraise, he is still on a draw. If you call one of 2 things happen.
1) He hits.. you lose
2) He misses.. his equity drops and its harder to get him to put his entire stack in.
Has he got a decent hand and is raising to protect?
If you call one of 2 things happen
1) The scare card comes in. He thinks you hit the flush. He stops putting money in the pot.
2) The scare card dosent come in and you are in EXACTLY the same situation as you were on the flop, he wants the last raise.
So lets put that all together.
He is bluffing, you neither gain nor lose anything by raising.
He is on the draw, this is the point you can get the most money in against him. If you shove here and he hits, it dosent matter because he gets such bad odds
to draw that if you repeat this 1000 times you show a profit and he shows a loss.
He has a decent hand. He is not folding! He is also scared of the draw. If you got him all in on the flop and the draw hits.. well it dosent matter does it, you are all in.
STOP TRYING TO TRAP IN SITUATIONS WHERE TRAPPING IS WRONG!
