Not including top pair

Hi! Two pair not including top pair. What does that mean? Cheers, Archie

I have 5s 5h.
On the table are 9c 8c 8d 2c.

What do you mean exactly? That can mean a lots of things...

1. you have two pairs, but none of them is the top pair. Top pair would be 9s.

2. On the board: possible two pairs, set, flush, gut shot or open-ended straight draw even a full house

3. At this point, if there's a small bet, I would 3-bet or fold in case of a big bet.. but reading is also part of that decision

4. Your opponent can beat your hand

It means you have the pair of 5s in your hand and the pair of 8s in the community but if you had top pair you would have a pair of either 9s from the community or a higher pair in your hand than 9s.

It means that you have a médium hand. Take Care with your bets!!! This hand can bring you a feel money or take off a Lot of them

it means that you have two pairs, different from the top pair (hieghst pair made with the table).
For example:
Table: A K 8
Yor hand: K 8

Or table: K 9 9
Your hand: 7 7
