I'm starting this tread because I want a place where I can jot things down before I forget then. I'm not going to write long boring stuff that don't even make sense even to me. But all that writing in my BOOK did one thing for me With me being in that manic state, I was able to use up some of that energy. Oh and I'm posting this in the learning section because It will help me learn if I look back on some things.

Just a sentence or two about the past week or so. All of a sudden I didn't have anything to say. My interest level was 0. I mean even on facebook, where I have a lot of laughs, and seeing all the bad shit too. Oh and I wasn't playing much poker either. I didn't know what to do except, let it pass on it's own, and either Wed or Thurs it did pass. So everything is how it was

I been dealing with a roller coster ride playing at ACR. I pick up a dollar or two and then it's gone. But my BR is setting still. Been trying the $1 on demand and just today I cashed 3rd in 2 games, and I won a little a cash table 5nl. Going down levels is a hell of a easier than going up. Kind of like you never forget how to ride a bicycle

Man this has been the most crazy day for me playing poker. All day it's been up and down. Win a dollar and lose one, So it's 2am and I started playing yesterday at 10am. I started with $31 and now I have $27. It makes me wonder if it's even worth the trouble. Having the small BR makes me play real tight, and sometimes it's nerve racking Oh well what the hell

What kind of stuff was you jotting down, poker related stuff like strategy or just general stuff.
Maybe I should do something similar as my memory is like a sieve

Gl with your bankroll, although makes it a lot harder with scared money

Well thanks rhombus for posting here. I hope others will to, but this tread is for the same thing you said. I forget a lot that I want to write in here. I keep a note book in front of me so I can write things down when they happen. Yes it would be a good thing for you to do the same

Well I been up about 30 hours playing poker, and the only thing I see happening is that my BR is slowly heading to $0. I will win good at one cash table and lose on another one. To top that I got knocked out of CC's buy in game real early. And I go ahead and enter another one with the same result as the first one. That cost me $5
Oh well it can turn around in a second.

Well I did have some fun today by shooting the bull shit on facebook. And this is what I call my life. But I don't have any options without a way to get around. Besides that, it seems like my place is out of the way for everyone, and the funny thing is that from one side to the other of this town is about 6 miles.Well I don't need to start think about all that

What's been on my mind the most for more than 2 weeks now, is that I'm 57 years old and I'm going to get older real fast the way time goes by so fast so for 2 or 3 week now I been thinking about meeting someone to spend the rest of my years with, or just getting together 2 or 3 times a week. I been alone for so long that I'm wondering if I even know how to go about all that and everything else that comes along with a relationship. Hay you all, it's not poker, but any advice on this crazy shit is more than welcome. I thought I could at least chat with a few ladies on facebook but even though I'm getting my friends requests excepted and I say hi and a little more, I have yet to get anything back. Well that's it for right now. I guess I need make a plan and go from there.

I also struggle with playing not to lose instead of playing to win and I think that wrecks my game more than anything else, when I'm not afraid of losing chips I do a lot better and often bluff successfully too. I used to be in sales, which was the worst career choice possible for me (hence the key words used to be,) and there was a sales coach that I listened to once in a while who always said "don't be attached to the outcome."

I think that applies to poker too, in the end you have to make the right decisions and not let the results of this one time get you off the track. If you keep getting it in as a 60% favorite, you're going to be profitable in the long run.

Are there any groups in your area that meet regularly over some topic such as a book discussion group? There are often creative writing groups that get together every week or two weeks to share what they have written and get feedback. It might be better to meet people that way, I think the internet is still a very tough row to hoe because there are so many weirdos out there who spoil it for everyone, and you have to convince people that you're not one of them.

Thanks Propane Goat. for your great insight, advice, and being someone I can put trust in.too.

Yeah the group thing would be great. But in my situation it's impossible. I live on the outer edge of town with nothing but one store within walking distance. It hard for me right now but I'm not going to let it stay that way much longer.

Right now I'm dealing with some anger that I should be able to put behind me real easy. But when two people calls each other best friends nothing should come and alter it. But I have dealt with the sane problem from the same person so many times I lost count. So during the last few days I have made up my mind to cut all ties with that person. I am tired of being used for whatever she can get out of me that will benifit her. You know what? For the past 30 years I have taken the blame for every thing that has happened. She goes on as if she was never been part of the problem and has never said she was sorry for her part.

I really should not be talking about this here. Well I'm done for tonight, tomorrow will be a better day and maybe it will help me to get it out

Well the good Lord let me get up alive for another day.

My intention for this thread is to learn some things, by looking back at my post that concern poker. I haven't done much of that so far.

I know one thing. I have to make a plan that will help me build my BR up. Right now it's going down. and I had the same problem the last time I had a BR at ACR. I'm a experienced player, so I don't see how dropping down to 2nl will help me, because 5nl is slow enough. So I guess I need to do some thinking and come up with that plan.

Today I was going to put my last $21 out there at once. Well I did put some out there but I couldn't find enough cash and MTTs I guess that's good, because what I did play didn't work, so lost $3.30 I don't know what to do.

Well this is part of my plan to build my damn BR or I'm going bust. You can't make money unless you are willing to put it out there and then do your very best. I have another on to post here too but it's not over yet

You all would not believe the stupid shit I did to get knocked out. I sure had my sights set on 5th or better, but my dumb ass self went all in with 46off and run into AQs. But I guess I getting tired. The last time I looked the game had been running over 5 hrs. So I went form my last $18 to $40. I done real good playing 5nl too,
I'm going to do the same thing tomorrow

Yesterday was not another good run, but I only lost $5 and then quite. That's one good thing I have learned from CC members

I will be right back trying to build my BR a little at the time.

I've opened up my range some. Like playing 67, 78, 98, 10 9 in position. ext It has helped some. I hope to have some wins to post this evening

You dont post hands, or playes, but from what I can see you play to mhigh limits for you BR. I understand that it's not you last 20$ but if you play 3-5 byin tourneys AND lose it can be demorolizing. I also understand that grind 3-4 hours for 3-4$ can be annoyng but still.
you can see it yourself afterwards that pushing 46o is "not the best play" but "scared money" is exactly what maybe pushing you to this plays.

Yeah asedu I know I'm way out of my BRM zone, But it is working right now. Earlier today I was able to get 6th in a $300 GTD for $25 and now I'm at $52. When I started this, 2 or 3 days ago, I was at $18.50. That's funny about me playing scared money. I don't play scared money because I've been taught well here at CC, so I depend on my experience and skill, and even luck, which I do have a little of here and there. I don't post hands because I know where I went wrong, and you all will tell me the same thing. I pushed all in with 46 because I was trying to steal. and it might have worked if I had more than 2BB left. I was blinding out. I have always said that I would rather go down fighting, than blinding out. Now don't get me wrong asedu, I need all the help I can get, and right now it's time for me to do better BRM and starting to ask some advice. GL to you

I ended up with $57 last night. I even played a PLO $1.10 buy in and finished in the money for about $2.50. I really don't like the game, but it was the game I started playing poker. I was just looking for a MTT to fill a spot and keep 4 tables going. Cashing in it made me think of getting some advice and trying to play it some more.Well I need to think about it awhile longer.

I been playing win, lose, or draw for 3 days now,and I'm going to try again today because I'm having good results. But I been reminded that I'm playing way outside of good BRM. and I appreciate the concern. However, I will be trying the same for 1 more day. It would be great if I could get to $75. Doing this takes patience.

Thanks asedu. I played some this morning, but didn't feel good, so I lay back down.. I been having to take a nap about 2pm but this one come earlier.

Opening up my range is interesting. I have won a few more pots because of it.

This morning I played one $25 on demand and won $.55. I played a $300 GTD R/A for $1.10 and did a rebuy but got knocked out. That's a -$2.20. Also I played two 5nl 6 max tables and won $5.50 over my buy ins. So now my BR is $61.50. It's slow, by I'm going up instead of sitting still or going down.

Thanks Propane Goat for your continued replies and support.

It's always the same when I play and win a little and later try it again it seems like I always lose back what I just won, and even more if I'm stupid. Well I'm not stupid because you all have taught me well, and I know how to stop. Anyway, I lost about $4 yesterday evening, and I just quit until out ACR freeroll started. Then I played a 5nl table along with it. Well I didn't do good with the freeroll, but I won $5 playing cash. I'm now at $62.50

I got a question for anyone who reads this. I been doing just fine with whatever I play at ACR, so why is it that I can't do the same in our freerolls? My thoughts is that I think I have something to prove to you all, and that causes me to lose focus and make stupid moves that cost me my tourney life. For example, after the flop I bluff with about 25% of my stack and get called, and instead of backing off, I continue to bet and lose it all. WHY

It not as bad, but I'm still dealing with the anger over the way my so called best friend has done. But I have you all to support me when I need it.

I started playing about noon today, and had pretty good run at 5nl cash table, and it's not much, but I did cash in one of the $25 on demand MTTs. Here is the link. And no matter what the cash is, I'm going to post them, because just getting ITM shows a lot about my game.

I'm going to post a shot of my account balance, because I want everyone to see I'm not just saying I'm building my BR, so here is proof, but it's only of the balance, not my info.

Good luck building your bankroll. I thought I read somewhere on here where you were playing very long hours. This is something I would recommend against but that's just my opinion.

All I can say today is that yesterday was a total loser. I dropped $11 that I could not afford. Honestly, I lost because I'm alone and lonely, and I been trying to meet and chat with a woman on facebook and see where it goes. Well that has not worked at all, but yesterday one PM me and I had 4 tables going, so I was trying to let her know what I was doing and that I would be back after I finished. Well I finished them all within 30 minutes. Live and Learn.

I think I'm going to do the same as I was doing before and see if I can pick up a few dollars. I have $58. I've already registered for the CC $2.20 $100 added, and I'm going to take $25 more in other games. Some 5nl tables too if there are any by noon
