Theirs Card odds,
pot odds and Implied odds, at least for Texas No Limit Holdem Cash games and Tournaments. You may find an odds calculator on Cardschat somewhere. I'm new to the site so I'm not sure, but I know you can access one for free at Cardplayer.com. I could give many examples of implied odds, but the information is practically everywhere written with perfect grammar, and examples. Implied odds are available, preflop, flop and turn. They are called future bets, bets that your reasonably certain will be called if you improve your hand for example to a flush, straight, set or two pair. When the pot odds are > than your card odds (odds of improving your hand) you should always call, your card odds will be getting worse from flop to turn and the pot odds could change as well so you calculate these odds for the current # of community cards exposed. For simplicity well assume you have flopped a flush draw and your opponent leads into the pot with a bet so big that your pot odds on the flop are < than the card odds your getting, however if you both have a big stack relative to the big blind and your opponent is the type that rarely if ever folds his over pairs AA, KK for example you can safely assume you'll get called when you check raise his turn bet and also get called when you fire out a big river bet. You weren't getting the right price on the flop to call, but since you know your opponents tendencies to call down to the river, even when scare cards come, your pot odds on the flop are now good because he will pay you off later in the hand to offset the insufficient pot odds you have on the flop. Had your opponent pushed all in on the flop then obviously you would have no more implied odds and would have to make the calculation and see if your pot odds are > than your card odds and if not you should fold. If he does over bet push the flop you'll most likely be folding and folding correctly.
