I just recently made the jump to NL Cash Games. I started with .5/.10. I seem to be getting the hang of it. I turned $10 to $127.63. The scenario is this, I see a lot of players in these games deep stacked. They are sitting with $30, $40 ,or even $50+ and at multiple tables. As for me I usually buy in for $6 and as soon as I double up I leave the table and buy in at a new one. Whenever I try to get deep stacked I usually end up loosing my money. A few times I've gotten up to $24 or so and cashed out but mostly I just end up loosing it all. So my questions are, is it better to stay at the table and build up a deep stack or leave early? And if it's better to stay why can't I manage to keep a deep stack without loosing it all?

I tend to agree with your approach...seldom do I stay after winning a big hand or accomplish a 100% return. Fresh tables are good too since I really believe that luck tends to evolve back towards a norm.

What's the expression? "If it ain't broke, don't fix it." I feel like you should just keep doing whats making you money.

wats ur motive in playing poker? for the fun n challenge? or izzit winning money more impt?

Becoz maybe the way u r playing suits for low stack n when u r big stack, ur strategy dont works. i reccomend leaving the table.

so if u r winning n double up n leave table, i tink there's nth wrong. :)

Both really, I mean what's not fun about winning money? :)

And I agree with all of you, I liked my style of double up and go, but something was bothering me about seeing a guy at 3 or 4 tables with $40 bucks or more at each table. Kind of made me second guess my own strategy I guess. Thanks for the advice fellas.

If you have an edge on your competition, you want to have at least as much as they do. This ensures that you can get the maximum from them when you win. The people that say "leave the table" and that the luck will regress to the mean are NOT winners at the game (sorry!).

Sure you'll lose the big pot sometimes. It happens. But if you do have an edge, more often instead of winning 100bb stack you'll win a 300+bb stack.

But I only do this for a living. What do I know? ;)
