I seem to be at another one of those 2 week periods. You know the one where you learn a new technique and now all problems are solved with it. It is sort of like buying a shiny new hammer and even the most delicate task now require its' use.
It seems that every time I learn something new or discover something about the game that I can use to my advantage it takes me two weeks to figure out how to use it properly and worse yet it sets my game back until I do.
What I really hate is when I start using something and I find good success with it. Then I am like one of my boys playing with one of my tuned up planes. I get all excited and overuse it or in situations where a finely tuned tool is not required and try using it as a hammer and ruin it. Or I use the 8# sledge when I need a fine pairing chisel.
Anyhow, I have to stand back and laugh at myself sometimes. Just about the time I think I have got things figured out, I realize that I am just a fish splashing around in a small puddle.
