The learning curve in this game is really steep but you can make it incredibly easier by playing extremely tight.

Don't base anything on a few hours or any short term results (variance in poker is enormous).

I'm not too familiar with the £ but at lower stakes its better to play tight, and once you get a good one, value bet, value bet, value bet. Don't worry about it if you've only been playing for a couple of hours. Try entereing a small 1 table SNG, it might help ya out a little.

Play low level stakes and don't be afraid to grind it out. Poker is a lot like stock trading: you're not trying to hit home runs. It's a slow constant grind if you want to keep making money.

Start at a level you are comfortable with, I know from my own experience you will need more than a few hours a week to improve.

I think you can beat this level.......LIVE. Online is a COMPLETELY DIFFERENT ANIMAL. Promise.

Try a lower level. I know you don't want to, but the variance online is so much greater than online. The hands are a lot faster. People are a lot more loose. If you are at the level you think you are at (I dont doubt it), you will more up very quickly and won't have to worry about small stakes.
