Well I'm really new to this online poker and I'm having a few issues. It's nothing like live where I can see the person and pick up on tells. I want to become a better player online that way I don't have to drive all the way to Iowa to play for cash. Is there any suggestion to be a better player online so I'm not just throwing my money away?
Need a HUD to see trends but until you get some hands, be tight in front and loose in da back!

You need to read a lot of literature. In addition you can use software that will help you and improve your gaming skills like leakbuster or ace poker drills.
And of course a lot of players use different HUDs

There is much I could say, but for right now, you need to pick a point to start. You can't learn it all at the same time. Learning online poker has to be done with baby steps. Post your question about what you see going on with your game. Then take the advice to the tables, where you are going to learn the most. Hands On GL to you

re: Poker & New
I would suggest watching Videos, on Training sites, or the cheaper option watch Poker on Twitch , it has helped me lots in improving my game

A lot of people uses hud, but becareull, pokerstars in 2016 will reduce the softwares that we can use, i'm use only my mind and my notes, i always see how players plays and take notes, that's notes will improve the way you play with that player..
You can also, use huds, but i preferer the old school!
