Hello. I am playing online for quite some time without long term success. The problem isnt my bankroll managment. 4 Weeks ago i deposit 20 dollars on stars. I managed to reach 80 dollars after 2 weeks playing 3-4 tables 1/2c. 4 days ago i lost my last dollar. I am using this guide https://www.cardschat.com/poker-starting-hands.php for pre-flop play and playing pretty agressive if the odds are with me after flop. So i need some general advice from you to make my game better and more profitable in long term

Play fewer hands and keep track of your history so you can improve your play and quit playing when you are on tilt.

No play more hands and do more studying. I'm also not a big fan of that preflop chart you should be changing your range of hands based on what type of table you are at.

Wrong!

He's saying play tighter, not play less as in volume.

Observe and read the betting pattern of the opponents !!! That's the most important skill u need to develop to get good long term success !!!
U don't have to stick like rock to the rules in that article...Try to play according to ur opponents rather than the cards !!!

This was a very helpful lesson for me to learn. Stick with a tighter strategy, but make minor adjustments based on your opponents.
Also I find asking myself, If I do X and my opponent does X will this put me in a bad position or could I be facing a tough call.

GL

This

Poker is far to complex to sum up in a few paragraphs, a few pages, even a few books.

Poker knowledge is gained over a long period of time so posting HHs and contributing to posts etc is the best way of going about acquiring this knowledge.

a) read this book :
The Full Tilt poker strategy Guide: Tournament Edition

b) $20 is too low to play in poker room, try low cost tournament
USD 1 or 3 is good to get alot of experience.

c) study your history in detail after each play to learn.

Well something different must have happened (not that you could or should have kept pace with the first two weeks). What was the evolution (and de-evolution) of this? Did you add tables as you went? Loosen up a bit since your bankroll was bigger?

I would suggest drop down from 3-4 tables to 1-2 and keep better track of how your opponents are playing too!!!
