Where would be a good place or book to read about how to play position and learning to bet in different situation? The reson I ask is a few days ago I played really tight in a low sit n go tourny with some loose play. Managed to fight back after a bad bet and won the dame thing.Yes Im a fish who needs more info of the game. Because I blew my winnings buying in bigger tournys and playing bad poker. Help!! I will explore more of the forms. Here thank u members.

For Sit 'n Goes, read Collin Moshmann's Sit'nGo Strategy book.

or

'Secrets of Sit'ngos' by Phil Shaw

Both are good books.

play micro sit n go's maybe 0.25 45 mans and get some practice...there's lots of sit n go strat guides online, just type it in google and also download a 'starting hand chart' and read up about position....and play play play and get some game time...then when you do read whatever book you choose, you will understand it abit better rather than if you dont play enough and read it....gl, it wont take long until you get the hang of it :)

Collin Moshmann's Sit'nGo Strategy book and Dan Harrington V1-3 are good books.

Since it seems reasonable to assume you're not an advanced player, You should probably look for books that are aimed at people with intermediate levels of knowledge and ability. Don't confuse yourself by getting into concepts that you're not ready for, and that seldom make a difference against the opponents you face.

I know you gave an example from a SnG, but I'd like to suggest a very solid, basic, beginner's primer that certainly covers position and bankroll management: Crushing the Microstakes by BlackRain79. It's really good for new players.

Online searching can also give you good advice if you look up positional play or bankroll management.

I'd suggest starting with one topic (bankroll management is always a good choice) and get familiar with the basic concepts. Then look at starting hands and positional play. For SnGs, there are specific concepts for that don't come up in cash play (like changing your bet sizing as the blinds go up).

First, learn to spell "Dumb Ass" ;).

While it's not geared specifically toward SNGs, I recommend Phil Gordon's "Little Green Book". Easy read, and you will learn more than you'd expect.
