Hello. I have been playing poker for just under a year now and i play both online and live. Basically i have the theory basics down. But i want a coach. Simple as that. I want to take my game to a new level and continue to improve. I would be very appreciative if someone could help me with this. I am extremely ready to put in hours and hours of work to improve if someone helps me along the way. Please tell me if you are interested.

Because i have a decent live game so i can comfortably put money into it where as online i dont concentrate near enough or feel as comfortable yet. Not much point in depositing a lot of money into a game im not comfortable with at the moment. Thats why im asking for some pointers from online players.

I can give you one pointer:

Most of the players online are significantly better than the players at the live cardrooms. These players at the cardrooms are mostly total donkeys. REALLY bad players. That's why I play live. I don't care much for online. There is so little information to help determine hand ranges, and it is impossible to observe body language.

Online is a much tougher crowd, in my humble opinion.

Yeah i agree. It is hard to get a read over a computer screen looking at a little bubble haha. But no doubt you do encounter some real sharks live.

You don't need a coach, yet. First learn to fold. A lot!

Thats probably the difference between your live and online success rates. In live poker you have a ton of time to think about all the hands that beat you but online its so easy and fast to call when its actually a terrible terrible idea.

I mean this humbly because I'm only starting to learn to fold but its pretty much the biggest deal in the micro-stakes poker.

Very well said. It is a point I had not given much thought to previously.

Yeah i completely agree, huge flaw in my online game is that i dont think the hand out enough. Mainly due to the clock beeping every two seconds haha. Any tips on how to improve on that?

Of course there's no need for a coach, ur prob spewing enough as it is.
Just post the hands your having trouble with in the HH section to get some feedback on your play and were you need to improve.

Well just reduce the amount of tables you play, down to a number were you can think about every decision you make..
