Is there an official name for the following play:

You call a raise preflop; you check the flop out of position and it's checked back by the preflop raiser; then on the turn you lead out w/ a bet.

I believe a "stab" requires that you're in position. And it's not a donk because that would require that you call a cbet on the flop. I suppose it's sort of a delayed donk. I dunno. Does this play have a name? I see it (and use it) all the time. Just curious.

A PROBE bet. Just figured this out. I googled it too and confirmed it here: www.pokerlistings.com/pure-bluffs-floating-and-probe-bets. It's similar to a blocking bet, but it seems like those are flop bets oop mostly in unraised pots.

Anyway, I knew this move had name. Ok, somewhat pointless curiosity satisfied. ;)

I think a probe bet is more general than what you're describing (unless the link says differently). They're typically small bets that aren't exclusive to turn play.

I would probably just call it leading out on the turn. Or we could name it after you. The rowhouse.

yeah but then when it happens to you ...you would be left saying "Hey buddy did u just probe rowhouse me?" I think it better to be rowhouse or probing 'Hey buddy did u just probe me?" "Hey buddy do you think rowhousing fits here?" see

I would say it depends on if you have a hand. If you don't then its a bluff and if you do then its a value bet. :)

I would say information bet. Looks like original raiser missed and is just giving up. A fold by him would confirm.

Sound like a "stop and go."
