N00b guide to HUDs?

Is there a simple guide/comparison/review for HUDs either here on CC, or elsewhere, tailored to someone (i.e. me) who knows zero about them? A quick search here didn't reveal one, but I may have been looking in the wrong place or with the wrong search terms...

I would start with Holdem Manager 2. It even has 30 day free trial.
At start, you will only watch very little parameters anyway. Start with them and try to improve your game based on those parameters.

There's another cardschat poker forum?
