Right, just a quick question.....

Im playing like 2 (sometimes 3) tables on a single monitor at the moment & I seem to be coping fine.

What I want to know is;
a) if i was to add 1,2,X extra tables, is there any hardware/software thats really usefull to multi-table with..?
b) Is there a specific set-up to use..?
(apart from the obvious extra monitor & poker tracker)

Nice one ))

PT3 or HEM or equivalent.
AHK scripts (or TableNinja for pokerstars and Full Tilt)

Neither is necessary to multitabling until you get over 4 or 6 tables imo (though PT3 and HEM are useful to improving your skills whether you use the HUD or not imo).

Extra monitors, ergonomic mouse as you deem fit. Some guys are 24tabling using laptops, so again it's not necessary.

There are several threads here discussing this topic, you can use the Search function to search the forum for them.

HEM I have but I haven't heard of AHK scripts or TableNinja. What do these do?

AHK scripts and TableNinja automate some "boring" activities - bring active table to front, default bet sizing, default buy in amount, close all tables at next big blind, etc. AHK scripts are free - you can search the internet for them - TableNinja is not free, but will give you an idea of what both can do if you visit their website.

Is TableNinja like a bot that? that's not against the rules?

No, it's not a bot.

A bot automates everything including decisions, you're not playing at all when you're running a bot - you can go watch a movie and come back an hour later.

TableNinja brings a table into the foreground on your monitor that requires an action and (as an example, you can configure more than this) puts in a generic default bet size amount that you configure (I've configured my flop betsize default to be 2/3 pot), but you have to actually perform all actions that are played in the hand - when I see the flop, I adjust the betsize to what I want it to be based on who's in the hand, flop texture, etc. - then I click on bet, check, or fold as necessary.

TableNinja doesn't look at your cards, the board, or who you're playing against, and doesn't recommend any decisions.

No, TableNinja and AHK scripts are not against the rules. Bots are against the terms and conditions of every site.

I can comfortably tile 6 tables on a 17"laptop & on a 15" laptop. If I were playing 16+ tables I would probably consider stacking them with my screen quartered (<< this is what most of the SNG regs. do).
