Multi tabling?

I just recently moved up to 4 tables at sng's. I start 2 games wait about 3 blind levels then open up 2 more. I have been on an upswing and end up in the money in 3 or all of them. The timing has been terrible I am in the money about the same time on all tables. I feel I may be making mistakes cause of this. I am sure many players here can handle this situation with no problem. I know eventually I may be able to as well.

Are their any tips on how improve my results in the late stages while multi tabling? Thanks

Stagger your times more, maybe 15-20 mins or so. When your 1st 2 finish then load another 2 up and repeat. Latter stages of sng's is mainly a push or fold strat anyways, so not a great deal to think about.

When I'm playing seriously (that is, not just doing the 180 player Poke after dark freebies at Fulltilt for instance), I'll stagger them one at a time -- start one, play it for 15 or so min then start another. I know you feel sort of like you have attention deficit disorder while you're waiting to start the 2nd (and then 3rd) table, but I don't get to the final 3 at the same time on all tables.

Personally, I don't play more than 3 tables at a time usually.

Thanks I have been spacing them a little more now. I now try and wait till a table is down 2 to 3 players before starting up another. It has been giving me a bit more time when in the money to make better decisions.

They really don't make it easy at Full Tilt. At Stars it's not really a problem. There's plenty of time in the bank if you have a ton of action and a big decision.

With experience, however, the late game becomes pretty much automatic. Since this is when most of the action overlap occurs, it shouldn't be too much trouble. I play six tables started ASAP after one another, and I only had a problem once when I made it to heads up simultaneously at five tables.

But basically what you should do is find a number of tables that is only occasionally uncomfortable. Then after settling in with that number, move up by one.

BTW, are you playing very low stakes? If you aren't, it's very rare to cash in upwards of 75% of the tables. Perhaps this is an extreme rush of luck, in which case I don't necessarily think you need to cut the number of tables. If it only gives you occasional discomfort, it is a good thing IMO. That discomfort will help you learn to multitable better.

Yes at the moment I am playing $2 and $5 sng's. Still believe I have been on a rush.

Although this may be completely off-topic, one thing that i think is funny is to start a SNG and let yourself and a friend alternate every 5 or 10 minutes (preferrably with completely different playing styles) just to mess with your opponents.

Personally I feel you are playing too many tables if you feel overwhelmed...are you timing out? ....playing 3 tables can make a huge difference, so lose 1 table for the moment...staggering times is crucial...dont feel bad about using your time bank.....add tables very gradually, eventually you'll 4 table without any stress....

Wow, I know people stagger tables and all, but even playing two can frazzle me. Esp, in bodog, who IMO, gives you the least time. Also avoid using two sites, since one may give you less time than another.

If you get frazzled, start back at the beginning with me, and try to truly master doing two at a time, then gradually increase.

And goodluck. It's better to win one than lose two.

And then you'll always wonder if it was bc you were multi tabling.

multi tables

I know I have tried several times to play 2 games at once. What happens to me is I will get frustrated in one and then it reflects on my other one. I try not to play 2 at once, god forbid 4. More power to you players that can do that. I would rather put my efforts in to just one. Gl at the tables all.:) :) :) :)

I tend to only play 2 tables at max. Reason?
You need to be able to work out how your opponents play by looking at how they play hands and how they bet.
When you have up to 4 tables you may play a hand and suddenly find ou are up against a really good player that traps and everyone has figured this out apart from you. ;)

I've ended up playing 3 heads up matches at the same time. THAT was tough. But staggering them seems to be the best solution. They all seem to go about the same time.

Whenever I play more than one tourney at a time it seems as if I'm not concentrating enough on them. Sometimes I end up calling anything and going on tilt because i just stop paying as much attention as I would if I were playing one. But that's different for different people. DO whatever is best for you.

Do you think the odds are better to multi-table smaller stakes sit-n-gos or play a more focuses single table sit-n-go at higher stakes? For me personally, when I have more than 2 tables open, it just doesn't give me much time to assess the situation fully.

I play 4 sng at a time too, but I stagger the starting times on all of them.
