As requested by Ninelions a while ago, here is a 15 minute video of me 20 tabling $100nl FR.

It's just a little demo on the layout I use and it's not meant to be used as hand analysis poker theory, but if you wanna make comment on any hands please feel free :p.

I like the disciplined fold of AK to the 3bet imfo :p.

Just a bit of fun anyways, here goes:

Just finished it. Crazy stuff. I can't believe you don't use a preferred seat to find your cards easier on each table. Playing that many tables without a working HUD has to be -EV.

Also your voice may have the most relaxed, soothing tone I've ever heard. It really helped me to deal with the chaos of the tables popping everywhere.

Good stuff Jay.

I tried using preferred seat set up, but it never seemed to work with the HUD, I'll look at it again I think.

So you mean I send you to sleep and I'm boring :p

Good stuff Jay.

Yeah, really don't know how you do it without preferred seating.

Good stuff, haven't really seen a video of someone playing that many with coherent commentary :)

You can argue for both sides, but I'm really leaning on the 'fewer tables, higher per-table winrate' side. You lose tons in rakeback and bonuses, but gain a lot in the sense that you progress a lot faster by really thinking about hands. I play at most 6 tables of 6max now and am not even thinking of going back to 12+ tabling. At least give it a try!

I'm very impressed with the fact you remember one hand to another!

G

p.s. your accent sounds like you come from the Wirral - posh scouse? ;> I live in Kirbky (not actually liverpool but where your team wants to move to).

and if it's not being too nosey, how do you manage your bankroll re: playing 20 tables.

theoretically, you could have all your bankroll at risk - if you're adhering to the 5% rule buy-in's per table.

or do you only have 5% at risk at any one time - which would make your bankroll huge.

Wow, it's impressive... And at the same time i'm pretty sure i never want to do that.

:withstupi

6 tabling 6max does wonders for me too. Although it's an easier choice for me as I play on FTP and rakeback is essentially a flat rate while on PS the rate increases with volume.

G

multitabling has no effect on BRM requirements apart from the fact that your win rate decreases somehow.

I think the 5% rule is really only relevant for micro stakes. At 100 and 200nl, i'm pretty sure Jagsti's BR is more than 20 buy-ins.

Definitely not posh scouse m8, and I live just around the corner from you :).

I like to have at least 50 buy ins for any given level, and yes I do take more than 5% of my roll to the table, but I tend to keep a regular check on how much I'm up or down, so I have sort of a stop loss.

So how do you play? Do you play the cards at this stage of are you trying to play the players also?Wouldnt it be easier to play limit w/20 tables?
Great vid.

Great vid.

Well good question. Without my HUD displaying my stats, I'm pretty much playing my cards, and concentrating on betting patterns. Also if I'm up against a regular, then you pretty much know if they have something that beats you.

With stats, then I look at them more closely (as best I can when 20 tabling) and basing a fair proportion of my decisions based on them.

Limit I doubt would be easier, becasue you probably tend to play more loose, therefore you have more decisions.

Jagsti that was impressive ... and I think WV is right you do have a soothing voice. You sound like you should be on our CoastFM radio station here that has all the love song dedications.

Thanks Jagsi, I 'preciate it.

And what you said about having two stacks of tables instead of cascading, and talking about how you have to look at how your stack changes to see if you won the hand or not, that's the kinda stuff I'd never run across 'cause I don't play that many tables but I find interesting.

Well, this may seem like a stupid statement, but if I'm all in, I will have pressed the F1 button (my ahk reload to 100bbs script), so the result is really irrelevent at that stage. The only time I know the result is when the action is on that table again and I'm at +200bb's :) or I'm still at 100bb's :(.

However I must confess I'm an addict when it comes to hitting the refresh on HEM, so I pretty much know if I've won/lost.

BTW, from the response I've had from this, I'll make a more detailed vid in the near future, showing you guys the AHK scripts available, the different layout options etc etc.
