I find it funny people compare how you receive more suckouts online han you do live. Although this is true in absolute terms as you see more hands per hour, in relative terms this is not the case. In fact, you will sometimes see more suck outs live in relative terms than you do in online.

Just last week i had some millionaire in a $200 MTT live who could not care less go all in on the flop with just a pair of 10s after calling a 3 bet and after i cbet the flop. But wait you might not be thinking that's such a outrageous play. However, this was despite the fact that he actually pegged me on my exact hand which was pocket aces but basically said screw it im all in and guess what he turns the 10 to make trips. I was like to myself why play if you are not going to take the game seriously? But of course i shrug and know that these thing inedible in poker and especially MTTs.

Anyways i could go on and tell you about 100s of more bad beat stories i have encountered playing live over the last few year alone but since i dont want to make this post long winded i wont do so. But the point im trying to make is bad beats live happen just as much live as online and im sure other members who are winning player online who also play live poker can agree with me on this.

Yes you are right but people have the deception online poker is rigged, and when they are playing live they can see the cards therefore make the assumption it cannot be rigged. Let these people think that is the case they aren't going to believe you if you tell them this anyway

Only the most absolute idiots, who seem to lack such basic maths think suckouts happen more online than live.

They just can't seem to comprehend that more hands are dealt online as opposed to live so think it's rigged when they receive multiple beats in an hour.

I don't think it has anything to do with 'more hands/hr.' Instead I think it's due to the 'anonymity' of online play where players will at times make ridic bad plays w/o giving it much thought (it's not like they're sitting across from you at the table).

Agreed your going to win 80% of the time. Besides you should never play at a limit that your not rolled to play at because bad beats are inediable no matter what stakes you play at.

Seriously? Because I feel like I'm eatin' quite a few of them... especially on Sundays.

I don't where your getting and cant believe you went to the effort of going to other threads to copy and paste previous things i have stated. What a sad and pathetic life you must live. Besides, $200 is nothing to me unlike for you which is your entire bankroll.

rofl, you mad? he was pointing out you keep using the word "inedible" instead of "inevitable". Poker Orifice made a pun and you completely missed it.

You probably knew that tho and were trolling him back, genius

Actually it might be a combination of the two, more hands and weak players. That is a deadly combination for suckouts. Play long enough online and suckouts will still hurt, but they should slide off your back a little easier.

I'm genuinely sorry if you thought I was ridiculing your misfortune, I wasn't

I am LOLing at you speculating at the size of my bankroll though :hahaha:
..I'm glad the $200 means nothing to you so you can relish in the fact that bad calls mean profit ;)

THIS :top:

A combination of the two is definitely why it appears that there are more suckouts online.

I don't think there are more weak players online though (but I guess it obviously depends on what games we're making reference to).

Eatin' just a ton of badbeats again today & maybe you've got a point here cuz I'm having a tough time stomaching them:confused:
Seems like they can make ridiculously bad calls & then ketchup & relish in their luck (ie. cbetting flop w set/overpr... shove pot-sized bet on turn & get called by a weak draw that's not getting anywhere near odds to make the call).
At least I now know why I'm feelin' sick eatin' these beats (obviously cuz they're inedible)

Ok i understand. These posts were made late at night so i don't pay attention to how i write things. And yes i understand how bad beats can be really hard to swallow at times even myself use to have a problem with tilt. However, over the last year i have learned to avoid it and saved myself tones of BI in the process.

I used to say live has a ton of suck outs. But it's ridiculous last night I got sucked out in tournaments by the big stack at least 10 times. Seriously ridiculous
