Does anyone else fell that you make better decisions overall when you play many tables, or is it just me?
Since this post is the LEARNING thread, I presume you're a beginner? Correct me if I 'm wrong. If you are a beginner and just started learning (for couple of months) I would not recommend it.
As was asked before, how many tables do you play? If it's only 2 it can be that you make better decisions, because you don't get bored that easily. In case you're playing more then 2-4 tables, I don't think you learn enough if you're still a beginner. There are so many factors in the game. You just cannot count everything (stack sizes, pot sizes, ...) and read every player on each table. You can learn your poker hand ABC's, but I don't think you'll improve your overall poker skills.
And over how much of a time have you been testing this out. If you just only tried it a couple of times, luck might have been a big factor. I don't say it is like that, but it is possible. And another thing: also psychology is involved. People can tend to remember their wins more than their losses and then think they are a better player. People want to remember their happy feelings and suppress their losses. And it can also go like that when you play many tables. Did all of them go right and why? IMO it's hard to really think about where you made faults and why. You learn more of your mistakes than of your winnings, but you have to be willing to take your time to think about it and analyse your own play as well as that from the others.
