Does anyone else fell that you make better decisions overall when you play many tables, or is it just me?

It is best to try to play at a table or I think that since you have more chances to perform and make good decisions

I think everyone has his own personal way to learn how to make better decisions , you and others when multi-tabling and compare different strategies for playing same hands , others like me want to focus when playing on one table and to watch every mistake or the way everybody plays and this way they take the best decisions :) .

For me it depends on the number of tables. After 4. I start to find it hard to keep track I can do it but wind up playing sloppy and rushed. But if I am in the "zone" it can be really fun. But that is far and few between for me.

Depends on number of tables and at what level. Occasinally more tables at lower lever is better, because I usually play so much more higher level plays than my opponents which doesn't work because opponents are playing very basic game. With more tables it's easier to grind them down.

It's possible that this is your personal feature. Cause of I not niticed any changes with my kind of play with MTT or cash game.

I also have my personal feature - I play better when I play 4-5 tables at the same time. I think that's cause of when I play 3 or less tables I feel myself boring. When I feel borinf I make reckless decisions and often loose in result.

It's too complicated for me. I cant analyze 9 x the number of tables that i'm playing because i'm playing in mathematical way though

I think that there is an optimum. I remember watching a recording of someone who span a million dollar spin and still played all three of his other tables at the same time, because it was just what he was used to. If you just play one table then you might be bored, and I can see why that would make you inclined to be too loose. On the other hand, a lot of people find they can focus just a bit more with one table, even if they are used to more. I don't really find playing more than one table a problem at all myself, but I am fine to just play 1 table at the same standard. If you can play more than one table comfortably, you might as well to increase your overall $/h. I guess it just comes down to your preference...

Since this post is the LEARNING thread, I presume you're a beginner? Correct me if I 'm wrong. If you are a beginner and just started learning (for couple of months) I would not recommend it.

As was asked before, how many tables do you play? If it's only 2 it can be that you make better decisions, because you don't get bored that easily. In case you're playing more then 2-4 tables, I don't think you learn enough if you're still a beginner. There are so many factors in the game. You just cannot count everything (stack sizes, pot sizes, ...) and read every player on each table. You can learn your poker hand ABC's, but I don't think you'll improve your overall poker skills.

And over how much of a time have you been testing this out. If you just only tried it a couple of times, luck might have been a big factor. I don't say it is like that, but it is possible. And another thing: also psychology is involved. People can tend to remember their wins more than their losses and then think they are a better player. People want to remember their happy feelings and suppress their losses. And it can also go like that when you play many tables. Did all of them go right and why? IMO it's hard to really think about where you made faults and why. You learn more of your mistakes than of your winnings, but you have to be willing to take your time to think about it and analyse your own play as well as that from the others.

I like playing 2 tables, its not to many for me to be focused and get a good read on my opponents, and with only one table it can be a little boring if you fold many hands in a row and that caould lead to calling to often. So I prefer 2 tables, more is just to many to be focused at
