Brief background info: At first i strictly played tournaments very seldom did i play cash because it bored me to hold an attention span for so long to make good decisions. However I've become much more experienced and i realize the necessity of patience for the game. Anyway after maybe 6 months of tournament play i noticed a great improvement and after a year i noticed my game became much better. I then started to dabble in cash games and shortly after i started to only play cash games and while i find my cash game to be decent as of right now, going back to dabble in tournaments i find myself not playing as well as i was. To conclude i feel as though I'm either good (or decent at least) at one or the other at a time; the one i more persistently play for months at a time. I can't figure out strategically what I'm doing differently. Overall, id like to know if anyone thinks my game should change completely while playing tournaments rather than cash and if so what changes should i make and if there is a general adaptation to persue while being diverse. (I play tight aggressive overall)

I am a new player so that I can't help you, the only thing I know is a big difference and that in cash games rely more on pot odds and outs, but as I said I'm a new player.
I have so far played a very little cash game, honestly I just wanted to try. I wanted to ask you with which bank roll you started to play cash games and which stakes you started to play.

tournaments are very different in its strategy of cash games . tkrnirah blinds in all the time and increasing the final stage all boils down to move the all in. cash game more complex and intelligent as opposed to tournaments.

In addition to the Starting Hands

The selection of starting hands is fundamentally important, but is only one piece of the puzzle in poker strategy. After dominating solid guidelines on starting hands and to understand how these are affected by their position in the table area to work the following should be your game in the rest of the hand. The area that separates professional players from amateurs is the fact that professional players tend to play much better than their opponents during the remainder of the hand, after the decisions of the initial hand has been taken.
This is particularly true with regard to the decisions taken at the end of each hand. These skills involve calculating pot odds, recognizing betting patterns, bluffing and make use position. The years of practice necessary to master the intermediate rolls and end are worth the effort, because even the simplest improvements in the skills of a player can have a tremendous effect on victories over a lifetime.
