first of all i understand that multitabling will make you more money in the long run but this thread isnt about this.

The question is simple:

if you are equally good in every game and you enjoy every game the same , what would be your best option if you want to play one table at a time?

this is where "knowing your opponents" come in. Find the softest table. If you take notes and utilize "buddy" lists...this should help narrow that down.

Depends on the person. Some people are better at sit and go's, and some people are better at cash games. It comes down to personal preference. Unfortunately the idea of being "equally good in every game" just isn't plausible in the real world.

FYI, if you are looking at being the most profitable for your time, I would seriously recommend multi-tabling. If you have an edge in the game, why not play the game more?

The Mtt pros hit huge cash amounts in one lump some and then typically lend it out to maximize their cash flow. Also most of the MTT pros play high cash games so that's what you find on the tele

if you're good at HU cash games then you will make the most there if you can seek out worse players than yourself. i especially liked HU NL single and triple draw if i could find a gambler. quickest way to double your bankroll imo.

I can get the same winrate playing 4 tables as I do 1 at 10nl and 25nl. I get a worse winrate playing 4 at 50nl, but do the same with 1-3 tables. I probably hit equilibrium at 100nl playing 1 or two tables at a time. However, playing 4 is still better than 1, because I get a better hourly rate.

take that for what its worth.

I have trouble playing more than 2 tables of Omaha profitably at any stake, but do well at 2 tables.

I think if you are only going to play 1 table you should go to a casino. you get more information and the game is slow, so you can pick up on a lot. The advantage of online play is the ability to play more than 1 table at a time.

I have never met someone who is equally good at all games of poker, with the singular exception of someone who was awful at them all. So the hypothetical is kind of a wasted exercise.
