So I've read about playing suited connectors against nits who play 15 table at once and was wondering if it's a good idea (I won't try it until my BR improves, right now I am close to breaking even ). The idea is this : if a nit raises and everyone folds (you are IP ) should you play small suited connectors against them ? If you hit your straight then you can really bust them and win big in such a situation (of course you will often fail ).
So, is this viable or just a waste of chips ? (again, you are IP, pretty much the only limper, the raiser is a big nit )

So against nits, not regulars. Nits are capped on lots of boards, besides they play fit-fold and are scared as f*ck of any resistance (well, maybe not all of them -> there are few who like to go broke with an overpair/TPTK). You can play SC against them but make sure Implied odds are there (IO depend not only on stack sizes, but also on player tendencies and board texture). I know you're a beginner so do yourself a favour and learn also about Reverse Implied Odds (against nits its rarely a problem though).

I took a break for about 3-4 days but now I am back to reading, that's where I got the idea from. I keep putting a math book on the side but one of those days I will invest the time needed to really study it. Also, thanks :D

I think this is clearly negative ev and i would not recommend making such loose calls especially in tournaments whereas in cash games there is a case for it more.
It will still be a very loose call against a nit even in cash games whatever the stakes.

If a nit raises and everyone else folds and you hold garbage, dump it just like everyone else did doesn't matter it the garbage is suited or otherwise. :)

nit generally play premium hands and pocket pairs so you will need to get lucky so only duel with them if you are holding good hands. I wont advice you to bluff a nit.
