i know its been discussed here before. some people think it's necessary o move up the right way, and others don't. i'm not saying it's not a good idea, but with the amount of people who don't care, money isn't an option, lack skill but have a button happy finger, etc i find it extremely hard to be successful. i can run good, i play my outs well and make sure my bets become respected to the highest degree i can during an online game, but the amount of times i win big pots compared to lose them isn't satisfying me. i feel like low stakes is great to learn the game, but then you should move up to .10 .25 maybe .5 .10
i remember right when poker started to click for me i ran 10 dollars into $230 in a matter of three hours playing my cards well. i slow played often & hit them once they were committed. this was at 10. 25.
tonight i have been playing 2 and after numerous ups and downs, bad beats taken as well as bad beats given, i sit here up 5 dollars. few times i had pocket bullets and it would be checked around to me with no raise before hand & i know if i raise there's a great chance everyone folds, even min raise. now like i said im not saying micro is bad, but i want to play a level where im rewarded for my experience.
im just curious to see what you guys have to say about the micro thing. i personally, just feel as if .5 .10 or .10 .25 is what someone should build their foundation upon at the least. maybe it's just not for me and it's time to go back to my .10 .25 roots
