Anybody got good tips on how to deal with players in micro stakes who steal? And what they might play with?

I've noticed that the level of skill from microstakes can vary quite a bit. My advice would be to watch a table if you are on the waiting list. Try and find out how the players are playing.

If you sit down and haven't had a chance to watch any action, you are going to want to play tight until you know what is going on.

If people are playing tight and there is a lot of folding, start opening the tight range and betting. Keep in mind that the play style at the table can quickly change from tight to loose depending on how much you start opening stuff up.

Then just when you think you have a good handle on it, you will get beat with something unexpected. Things change quick in Microstakes and there is a wide variety of players. Continuously monitor the flow of play.

However, if people are raising every other hand to 5x BB, don't start opening your range and betting. If that is happening too much, just wait for your AA, KK, QQ, AKs or switch tables.

That's my take on it! Hope that helps.

Too little info. Is the overbetter always in the pot. Is he in position?

If they are tight then can your hand beat his range?

If they are fish they will do that with any two cards. So ask yourself if you can outplay them on the following streets.

I would also consider stack sizes. Can you cover them if they go all in.

Then you have pot size. It is microstakes so are you willing to risk $1 to make .60? Ist it eqitable to continue?

If your answering yes then ship it in. If no then fold.

Thats my take on it.

I would say watch who you are stealing the blinds against.

If the blinds are constantly folding you can steal with marginal hands and sometimes trash, especially if the blinds are folding 100%. Now if a guy is starting to 3bet you a lot against your steals, then I wouldn't steal that much unless I had a strong hand, that way if he starts to play back at you by re-stealing then you can 4bet jam on him and re-steal again.

Again, this all down to the reads you have on that person.

Do you use a HUD??
