Got down to the last 15 players the other night in a £20 freeze out winner gets about £700. I'm on the SB (800-1600) and have 12000 chips left average is about 15000, I get dealt ace-king there is a raise of 4000 two players before me, I think about it and call for the remainder. The flop comes and it's terrible for me 3,5,8 rainbow but I think it couldnt have helped him really, so I think put him all in and hope he folds I go all in for the remainding 7900 this would have crippled him but not put him out he thinks for ages and calls showing a pair of 6's these hold up, I felt I had to do a continuation bet for the fold equity, the other option was AI preflop but with a raise i called what do you all think? I'm dissapointed because I'd played well all night and I felt I should have made the FT

AK IS NOT AN AUTOMATIC ALL IN HAND. the chance of hitting the flop is only about 10%. AK can fall to anyhand. you'll learn more as you play more. AK wins all in about 1/3 times. so if u want to risk it then move all in with AK

Given stack sizes I think you have to shove preflop. You only had 7.5 bb which doesnt give you room to play poker, you have to shove or fold and AK is just too strong to give up in this spot.

AK will hit the flop more like 25%+ of the time and will beat KK 1/3 the time and lesser hand much more often.
