The thing about weaknesses, to me, is that just when you've shored up one, you discover even more that you never even knew about before. The most recent thing to come to my attention is my stress increasing from having to make difficult decisions in online play in a short length of time. In essence, I'd like to train myself to "think fast" better. If anyone knows of any exercises I could do, or even say a website for hand decision drills that keep track of my time, please let me know here.

Well, my challenge always has been to think more slowly. It is extremly dangerious to make too quick decisions. I have learned the hard way that those 10 or so seconds that are given to make a decision is a plenty of time, no reason to rush moves too fast.

Now there are many methods to develop your mind. For example, I put puzzles together while listening to audiobooks. It sounds strange, but it helps me)

Practice patience

I always try to put some thought into what I’m doing. You have to use your mind and the tools you have developed. Take your time. The average poker clock is 10-60 seconds on any given site. Use it to think. NOT just about your cards. Think about your opponents range. Position. Position again!! Post flop or pre?? Go through the Cardschat 30 days program. It will help with the steps in your thought process!! Good luck!!

Go through the Cardschat 30 days program. It will help with the steps in your thought process!! Good luck!!

I have not done it, but the authors are both respected and winning players with tons of experience, and cardschat would almost certainly not attach their name to it, if it was not a legitimate approach and a beneficial source of information.

Lets start by reading a book... It Doesnt have to be extravagant. Just a simple book you might like or enjoy. Make sure its not digital as well.

do you play chess..??...if so, join an online chess site...i play on lichess.com...and start playing blitz (5minutes) and bullet (2minutes)games.
If this doesn't get your brain working quickly then nothing will.

I think the best mental exercise is playing poker. With poker, you develop the speed of your thinking, but it only happens with experience.

Try to play chess. One of the most brain-training games which can help you think for many steps forward what also helps while playing poker

I used to write that I put puzzles together while listening to audiobooks. Now there is a situation where I can't go outside. I sit at home all 24 hours. I collected all the puzzles, absolutely. I was bored. I couldn't relax mentally, and it made me really angry, my poor wife. In General, I once argued with her that yoga does not help to relax, and even more so how to balance my emotional state. Based on the nature of the dispute, I had to use the recommendations of this resource enter site whole week. I'm too proud to lose. But the funny thing is that it really helped me. It's been two weeks, but I haven't stopped doing it. Now I do yoga and listen to audiobooks. And don't argue with your wives.
