How do you examine how successful you are at poker. I only know the sharkscope site which gives you your roi and total profit. Is the roi rating a better indicator than your total profit.
What would you consider a 'good' poker player to have as a roi?
I have personally blocked my sharkscope numbers so that others cannot follow how I play. I dont want them to be scared of my stats I really dont want them to have any knowledge of me except what they find at the table at that time.
I dont go by roi at all. What is a good indicator? Knowing your ahead. What have you put in vs what you take out. I do not like allowing others to use knowledge of my play based on stats they can find online not trying to get others to share my view just saying. The more information you have the easier it is to use. Right now for most im a chip stack vs what they are trying to do so even playing field.
the biggest thing is knew my numbers back in 2008 2009 etc.. and other seasons. Knew my bigger wins which you can find some but not all my data during those time frames. I knew I was a big winner and that I was consistent against my peer group etc.. So when got chance to hide stats I took that chance I am a better player now than at that time imho. I had a good solid standing on consistency at that time even though ive found some numbers that are wrong or dont have all the numbers that should be out there
Right now i start each month with what have in banks on sites and see what I have next month etc.. that is how I view how im doing and only one thing matters your bank roll imho
