Nice idea Jurn.
If some on doesnt know here is how a sweat work:
You get a partner and both download http://teamviewer.com/index.aspx (or another similar software), this software alows u to see your partners screen so make sure to have all personal info out of side.
You then both get on AIM/MSN/Skype and one person plays will the other watches and critics your play and gives u advice.

I really like this concept and would definitely be interested in someone watching my game at some point and offering advice, problem would be finding time. How long do you usually do these sessions for? 1 hour?

I play micro games - 2NL, on full tilt and usually try to run 3 or 4 tables at a time. I have tried using the HUD before, but find it crowds my screen and I don't really know what I am looking at, so often turn it off after a few minutes. Would be interested in getting walked through how to properly use the HUD as well as a critique on my play.

As a side note, do the poker sites have any issues with people doing this? I know they would shut you down if you were on the same table from viewing end, but this is obviously not the issue. I am just wondering if they are looking for remote desktop situations or software like this in their scanning tools?

Time frame is really up to you. Could be for 30min, and hour, whatever both parties decide upon. Do you play FR or 6max? Either way we can set something up. 2nl is really just about nutpeddling anyway.

I can help you with the hud too, which program are you using for yours?

Not sure on terminology, but for arguments sake I will call the people doing the playing as the "sweatees", and the people watching and offering advice as the "sweaters".

I have a proposal for this concept, one that can be used monthly going forward. I think that whenever the sweatees are in profit from one of these sessions (which should be almost all of the time given that the sweaters will likely be dominate at this level and the advice should be paying off), then any profits from the sessions get amalgamated in a single account, and that money is then used on a monthly freeroll for anyone who acted as a sweater in that month. Sweatees should feel an obligation to donate those profits back to the pool, but also will obviously have the right or ability to donate more to show their appreciation (and obviously if they choose not to donate their profits, that is their choice as well, however, seeing as someone has donated their time to improve your game, I think it is the very least you can do to give back).

I am not sure how much would accumulate in the month, but I would imagine that if there are a lot of Sweatee/Sweater sessions in a month this could really add up.

I am happy to assist with the administration and setting up of this system, but I believe everyone would feel much more comfortable with one of the more senior members/administrators of Cardschat looking after it. I know I would not want to send my money to a junior member for this type of a system. What do you think of that proposal?

I am still in my trial of pokertracker (11 days left). After that trial is done, I am going to try another one to compare. I play FR, and could really use the advice and the feedback. Things are pretty manic at work right now, so I am not getting decent blocks of time to do this, but will put a note on here for a sweater when I know I have a clear hour to make the most of it. Hopefully sometime before the end of the month.

Nice idea but not really necesery imo.
CC works like a pay it forward system.
If some on helps u out they dont really expect anything in return cause another member allready helped him out in the past, all he asks is that when your in a postion to helps another member out some where down the line u do it.

+1.
Donating the profits from the session sounds dumb, no offence.
Cause it's essentially you playing and you shouldn't be denied your own profits. CC has plenty of freerolls and in any cause sweaters aren't really looking to profit from these things.

They just want to help beginning/struggling players.

Not proposing it as a means of profit, just as a way of showing appreciation and to give something back. If they are looking to profit from it, they would be much better off playing their own game with that time as they likely play much higher levels and therefore would end up further ahead without it.

Pay it forward idea works for me, I just thought it would be a good way of showing your appreciation more directly. When (or should I say if), I get to the level of being able to help a newer member with their game, I think I would appreciate a fun freeroll in return for it. Your right it would not be necessary or make a difference to whether I contribute my time or not, but would still be fun - I may have a very different opinion of it by then as I know more advanced members don't enjoy the low money games, which is likely what this would be.

Bottom line is that the sweaters are conveying that they don't want it, so I will shelve my suggestion. You guys are too generous with your time and willing to help others out, this is a strange branch of society in this forum.

Anyone up for it lemme know.

I'm back playing 6max again, 10nl, would be interested to see how someone else views my game, trouble is i usually stack 6 tables though, would i maybe need to cut down to say 3 or 4 tables so that i could tile or overlap them??

I'll get downloading teamviewer and shizzle, gonna be hard to work out a time though as your across the pond from me (i think), whats your time diff from gmt?

fwiw i think jurn needs to learn 6 max b/c the timezone thing wouldnt be an issue and i'm sure he'd learn to kill it soon enough thus being able to teach me how to kill it lol

I switched about a month ago but since then i've reswitched and reswitched again i think lol I'm sticking with it this time though.

Metaphorically speaking, it's like i went in the sea for the first time as a kid on holiday, after a while of being thrown around by the sea and getting sand in awkward places i decide to get out and get dried off to chill out and relax on my towel, but i had soo much fun in the sea that it keeps pulling me back in and after 10mins of being dry and complaining about how a wave knocked me underwater i can't help myself and run back down to the sea to get thrown around by the waves again, that is my idea of 6max, now i've decided that chilling on the towel is boring and i'm just going to be embracing the waves from now on. :D

In summary, 6max is the shiznae
