Hey! I'm new on this forum and have just been lurking untill now.
I'm wondering how important math is in nlhe, and if someone might try and explain it to me, i'm pretty new (around 2 months) and poker is the first card game i've bothered to learn. I am however pretty bad at math and would love someone to help me out/point me in the right direction

You need math to understand the question why something is correct, on the table you just need basic understanding about ratios and how likely something is until you are about level NL25 or something like that (just guessing, surely not NL10). Understanding why makes game much easier to learn so going examples with math is good way to really learn.

If you are `new` to poker,i would suggest try to focus on playing first for awhile before you get into the #`s of poker. It`s sort of putting the cart before the horse thing. Play a lot of freerolls and enjoy yourself a bit,get to know how you want to play(pick a style, like either, super aggro,or tight-passive) Their is no rush, this is a marathon, not a sprint:cool: (but someone will prob help with a 2-4 easy math trick u can use for now;)

Poker is more based on probability theory. You look at the tables where you specify the % victory with one or another pair of cards. These tables are compiled with the help of mathematics. Namely, probability theory.
