How do you guys play your marginal hands? I am looking for some tips on marginal hands since I think my game is a bit too tight and I would like to expand a little if possible. So I would like some tips on playing marginal hands if possible.

What position do you tend to play them out of?
Do you even play them?
Do you ever raise with a marginal hand or do you just call? (this is what I'd like to know the most)
How do you proceed when you manage to make a good hand?

I generally play small pocket pairs by calling out of pretty much any position but especially late if plenty of guys entered the pot so I have better pot odds. (if I am even understanding the pot odds stuff correctly )

Any tips and insights on this topic would be appreciated.

Sometimes I'll play such hands depending on position, stack size, suited or off and how many already have folded. And if I have a good feeling about one hand I'd call anyways.

Well, true, pot odds are better but the more player are still in the round the greater the chances are that somebody has a better hand than you, so pay attention.
And if you are heads up in such an hand and have hit really nothing and a great opportunity to bluff shows up, use it (depending on the situation off course ;) ) and get the pot.

To answer whether you ever raise with a marginal hand or just call, the biggest factor in determining is game flow. Has the player who opened up been playing very loose? Then you might want to 3 bet raise in order to put pressure on the weaker hands in his range.

For instance, let's say the villain has been VPIP-ing 40% of his hands. He opens from middle position and you have Q-10o. That might be a good spot to 3 bet him, in order to punish what is likely to be a weaker range, while still having a decent flopping hand if he were to wake up with something higher in his range. Then, since you're the pre-flop aggressor, you have the added ability post flop to make spots difficult for him. I hope that makes sense! Good luck!
