What is the best way to start a hyper turbo mtt?

Wait for the good holding cards or all in from the beginning?

I think wait is the best, but for how long and is good cards in this tournament not as good as in normal tournaments?

You need to have some lucky to get nice pocket cards but in my opinion if you have connectors or suited conectors or two figures you should go all in easy. When you applied in these sort of tournments you know that you will need lucky so, i think this is the best strategy and makes sense in my mind :) I'm waitin for another opinions!

Hypers are unique. I play in them semi frequently.

Position is key. Its much easier shoving than calling. Pretty much 88+ I am shoving. 10's or better calling. Its all about position, and min raises in these help pick up stacks. Just dont call to much!

You can shove a wide range in hyper turbo's. I usually raise with any ace, any pair or any unsuited connectors, even suited high cards depending on position. Definitely need some luck to go deep in them. In the middle stages especially you need to get lucky to get up to a big stack. Once you have a big stack then you can put more pressure on table especially in late position.

You will need luck in these tournaments and win some coinflips. In early stages you can wait for a better hand like JJ+ and KQ+, but once the blinds are going up I'm shoving with any 2 face-cards and medium PPs+.

I have played like 6 of these tournaments at PS where there are 980 players with $0.02 buyin. I cashed $0.10 once.

Your opinion makes sence. Luck is more important and good cards here is not good cards in slower tournaments

Diogo as I see your statement holding cards worth a limp in sunday storm. Is worth going all in in hyper turbo.

Agree with CarlTrooper about position.

Read up on the gap concept. You need a better hand to call with than to shove.

Check out YouTube for some great videos by JackTheShipper.

True, there is a high variance with HTT, but these can be beaten profitably. You do need a skillset and a larger roll, however.

The best way for hyper turbo mtt is either fold or all-in period.
No room for post flop strategy plays.
Have to be lucky thrice to be on the money though.

It is hard for me to take these tournaments seriously at all,I find most of the time that players will likley play ATC and your strong hands will most likley get beat out by the ranges that all the other players are calling with.
Honestly I think these tournaments are kind of A joke and would have better odds at A roulette wheel lol.
May I ask why you are playing hyper turbos.

Left52side thank you for the comment. I still do not see my self as prober player and therefor I dont want to use a big bankroll for playing. I like small buyins and freeroll for lear ing the game. The cheapest is ht mtt buy in 0,02 on pokerstars

Yup, shove and pray. These tournaments are kind of a joke, but the first place is like $4, so it's very tempting to play.

I'm hyper when my blood is not enough adrenaline.
Different situations in the hyper turbo a lot, but they are all calculated mathematically, you only need to work with the poker calculator. This is a game in which, with due diligence and zeal can climb from the bottom to the top. Subject to bankroll management.

So maybe a good hyper game can be used to get improved with the calculator.

And then you will get the odds automaticly into your play good thing for beginners
