I decided to try out full tilt. I put in 110 CAD in the bank. I played 5/ 10 cent NL, and continuously kept losing. The board would turn to be 2c 7d js.
I would go all-in or raise 20 percent of the pot with aces/ kings/ queens and even jacks. But somehow everyone finds their miracle card and wins with a 2 pair on the turn, flush, full house or whatever. At one point in time, I didn't pair up with any board for four hours. Not one pair, flush or straight. Then before I lost my bankroll, I versus aces five hands in a row. Five in a row- like come on. I had people go all-in with 85 of suit or A3 off-suit against my pairs and I'll lose. I usually would play Poker-Stars however, I made a second account and didn't realize your not allow too. So I got banned. I decided to play 888 poker with 40 dollars to see if my luck will changed; and nope it didn't. I've read on-line stories about people having weeks or even months of losing streaks. Should I just quit and find something else, or do you think it will turn around?

btw I was playing Rush. I always play zoom on Stars and won a lot.

I hear u get bustet with pairs. A pair is exept from high card the lowest winning card. So dont overplay it. If u go all in with just a pai,r u nearly always have coinflips and if u unlucky u lose them. Best u can do imo is to adjust ur gameplay and even read a book about poker and check ur handhistory for the greatest leaks u have,
gl on the felts.

first of all you should be a guy who fold top pair and who looks for people who would bet all their money and a right hand on a top pair. You should start from there.

On another note, why didn't you went down to 4 nl or 2nl when you saw that you are loosing big?
I strongly recommend reading little green book, it helped me...

It sounds like you were playing with 11 buyins then? This is not good bankroll management. I would suggest 20 buyins as a bare minimum for a recreational player. I would also play at a limit that you know you can beat. I don't know what your background is in poker but it sounds like you are fairly new to online poker. Why not start at the lowest level for a few days at least to get your bearings especially since those are the stakes that you are actually bankrolled for? If you crush it, cool, move up.

First, it sounds like your game likely needs some work. Get back to the fundamentals, look into books/videos/training sites, and post HH's here for analysis.

Also, I'd suggest you slow down and play regular games until you get your feet under you. Rush/Zoom is fun and profitable when you're comfortable with your game, but until then it's similar to multi-tabling before you're ready -- you're only going to lose faster, and the faster pace doesn't lend itself well to thinking your way through plays nor learning by observing others when you're not in a hand.

Finally, when your game starts turning around, you must seriously consider BRM. $110 is not properly rolled for 10NL. 11 BI's isn't going to cut it if you're at all serious about your game. But that's not as big an issue while you're a losing player, as BRM hardly applies to losing players.

Go back to the basics and learn proper brm. Never ever ever ever play rush. If you aren't crushing stakes for your bankroll you have zero shot at rush.

I'd suggest coming to a realisation poker isn't about what cards you have its about the players and its about how you play your good cards... and your bad cards too -

3 basic pointers to start you off.

*how many players are in the hand. aces are not a favourate v's 8 cards especially if everyone hold drawing cards.

*playing in position and pot control - fish will keep busting you if you keep falling in love with hands and you wil never be a winning player, without evaluating what they might have and controlling the pots to protect losses

*dont watch online poker video's of top pros, they are on a completely different level and the cards are highlighted, alot of these players are extremely tight even when playing rags its because they have a good spot

Play some freeroll and lower limit cash games and polish your game. Read some books to learn brm and to refresh yourself
