My name is Gino, I have been playing poker off and on as recreation for about 5 years now. I have been wanting to take poker more serious now that I have a lot of time on my hands as a stay at home dad. For the passed few months I have been playing a lot more mulit table tourneys. I have a 1 place finish and a couple 2nd place finishes. One 2nd place in the Big 10 1k on BCP and a 2nd place in the Big 10 300 on ACR. I have a lot of min cashes, but that is not good enough for me. I want to get better so I can make more final tables and eventually win more tourneys. If there is anyone out there with any advice I am all hears to listen. Here is some of my cashes. They are not fully updated.

personally, I dont think you really need a coach... I would just stick to the books and the video and play with play money until you think you are ready. Thats how 99% got "coached"

Disclaimer : that percentage is totally made up, I have no idea, but I am sure it is a high number

Save your money on a coach, look at training videos, books, ask questions on CC,

Try posting some hand histories you will get plenty of feedback.

Have you got a hud ?,

I'd assume that number is wayyyyyyyyyyyyyy lower. I, for one, never touched play money to learn. I deposited and learned at the nanos. As did most i'm sure.

OP, if you have some FT cashes and now have a decent bankroll then just keep grinding through and stick to a great BRM and you will do just fine imo.

I am a coach. I have my certificate in soccer, boxing, and long-distance running. But I don't coach poker.
I did, however, apply my coaching methods to myself.
I trained and developed as a poker player because I wanted to learn about the game in an enjoyable fun way. I developed in stages, taking those babysteps.
I studied the game while not playing. I practiced the game whenever I could. It was poker coaching I applied to myself... the basic thing is 'you have to be honest with yourself' something that is not always easy.
I haven't done too bad as I have seen developement.
Good luck with your method you choose

I just started a free trail with Holdem Manager 2. I am still learning how to use it, I will be purchasing the full version for $100 when the trial is over.

That would be a good investment in your poker career, You can really focus on your strength's and weakness with it.
