Ok So I am from PEI

Now the casino here does weekly tourney's just small tonight I play at 20+5 tourney 40 players 1R1A game.

Now that being said I normally somehow make it to the final table however everytime I seem to be the bubble any suggestions on how to get itm or what I could be doing wrong.

I usually hunt the weak players early gain the first buy in's and back off for a while however I am wondering should I keep aggresive on them ? any advise would be great.

As a student of poker myself, my advice is to enjoy the journey. The only strategy for playing poker I have is that of the total strategy, enjoying the ups and downs of the entire practice.

I play NL Holdem Poker at Fallsview in Niagara Falls Ontario canada, a weekend grinder among regulars and those others grinding on weekends.

Typically 70 % Wins, leaving with valuable experience. 30 % losses leaving with valuable experience.

Fun stuff ahead of all, enjoy the game and improve your game by continuing. Never forget play with money you can afford to lose. Earn as you learn devoting only the time and money that will not effect your own household health.

Hope that helps, best of luck with skill development.

It is hard to say what to do. but I would stay agressive when entering a pot, play position and try and steal blinds when possible. Is there going to be a big tourny at your casino in April? I am in NB, i am waiting for the spring tourny in Moncton, but was wondering if there was any in charlottetown?

Maybe one time of week is good to play at small buyin for boosting your bankroll but at some point you need to make a big one to pass to an other level of play. Or you can keep playing in small tourney and hope to win all of it or to be in the money all of it.

See most of them are pushing with AK pre-flop I guess I can call with something lower if more players in the pot more chances of them all having faces or high cards rely on odds and try to take them out that way especially with the first buy-in

usually what I see the big problem being in situations like you describe is playing too tight early. Playing tight Will get you to the final table in a small tournament, but you often will be a middle stack at best, more times lower.

Try to open up your range and chip up early (especially in a rebuy). Then settle down and protect your stack. While taking more chances early could lead to an early exit, it's also how you take 1st and aren't forced to putting in all your chips with a marginal hand because you are short.

Stack sizes and blinds play a big factor if everyone is short stacked a good style i have found is tight aggressive, don't limp with hands you're better of shoving due to fold equity.
