Hi everyone, just a new thread for the 1 best piece of advice you could give someone, based on your experience playing live cash games. Looking forward to hearing what you have to say...

My #1 piece of advice is

Don't be the 1st guy to fall into the water and start drowning at the start of the game. Let the game develop and tighten your range for the initial 45 minutes. Let someone else be the 1st to go on tilt and be flailing in the pool. Then as they are crying for help, throw them a concrete life jacket to speed them on their way :D:eek:

Patience is key, and something to keep an eye on is game regulars playing you for a fool. Many times, if you visit a home game, poker hall or cash games you'll run into "regulars" who will work together to gang up on the "new fish."

LEARN THE RULES

I don't mean the what hand beats what kind, but the rules specific to the live game that can trip new players up. Know what a string bet is, know what actions do and don't constitute a bet or a call in your particular card room, remember not to talk about cards during a live hand, etc.

Think this is a very good one, read the rules of a pokerstars live tourney a while ago. There were quite alot of things I wasn't aware of yet.
