I am currently playing on Carbon poker usually micro limit hold-em. I have played a couple of tournaments that is 1$ buy in no hold em and I was wondering if how well you do in tournaments does this some how reflect how much you are improving? The tournaments typically end up having 150+ players signed up.

Another question are these cheap tournaments/satellites better to build your account balance?

Thank you for the advice and help, sorry if this has already been asked.

Well I suppose if you find yourself reaching higher in tournaments with the same or more people than you could properly say you`'re improving. However I base me success on if my account balance is trending up or not.

I agree if you're doing well in these tournaments and getting unlucky more so then losing in bad spots then you can definitely say you're improving, regardless of whether or not you are currently winning

You most likely constantly improve, the more hands that you play, but it doesn't mean that you're gonna be a consistent winner just yet

Just check your balance and from time to time watch back to some hands you have played, often times you will find situations you woukd have played different lateron. In this way you can improve your poker. Nevertheless of course you can see in the tounreys if you get better, but there it is always something called luck you need to protect your hands from donkeys ;)
