There are so many strategies that people try to follow (which I tried to follow) and found that what might work for others just don't want for me lol! Are you consist on how you play or do you change it depending on what you are playing or where, etc? I find that personally the higher the stakes the more aggressive I seem to be which is odd because I am not normally an aggressive person at all!

You should always adapt to the specific opponents you face, one style of play might work against one player but be completely ineffective against another. The lower down you are in stakes the less you have to adjust your game.

Table to table, tournament situation, familiarity with players, stack sizes, etc., etc., never ending journey.

i was just asking myself this question a few hours ago. I been trying to look where i can find an edge in MTT. And im finding out that I feel more comfortable playing playing Turbo MTT online on the smaller stakes because I feel i have what i think is an edge in experience. I would assume i find myself to be more skillfull in this area against opponents at lower levels and I won't get alot of resistant or agressive players trying to play back.lk

Passives = people who buy-in short of maximum, players who limp rather than raise the blind when first in, callers, min-raisers especially post -flop.

Aggressives = play many tables and buy-in for max, will be 3 betting and raising a lot.

Raise and value bet the passives but don't bluff them, the moment they show aggression, fold all but the near nuts.

There are good and bad aggressors.Bad aggressors play bad lines which don't make sense.Watch for what they showdown to get an idea how they think. Usually you can bet for fairly thin value against them and make thin calls.

Good aggressors: they bluff in spots where they should show up with big hands and value bet in spots where it looks like they are bluffing.

Some days I play ABC poker, some days I don't. It depends on table, familiar faces (I play live), mood, how the cards have been to me that day (superstitious or what?)and sometimes I try to keep the mood light and I try to make it fun and muck around. (I can get away with this because where I live, our poker room has maybe 30-40 regulars so you can get to know people a bit better then just a random player on the table).

The only way to learn what typeof player you are, is to practice, and play, and evolve and learn.

You should not stick to one style specially if you are playing opponents every time like in local poker house.

You want your opponents guessing and cant read you like a book.
