In my opinion, online and live are almost different games. Live has to do with people, how do they play, what do you know, did he just cough and scratch his nose, whats that mean, etc. Online has more to do with math and grinding out the good hands. Only thing that would be similar is short blinds, loose players, and drawing out (for online versions of this go try 'TURBO SNGs)
That being said, anyplace you can go through the motions of how you play, is a good place to learn experience. SNGs would be ok, but dont expect everything to translate to live poker
Im a live low limit grinder mostly, 2/5 usually, and have been profitable for years. Im starting online again, and remembering how very different it is....
