There is a book written by Chen, the mathematics of poker. It's good.

Hi. How deep are you looking to get? The Mathematics of Poker by Bill Chen is considered by a fair amount of people to be one of the standards, it's very deep though. I haven't read it but Applications of No Limit Hold 'Em by Matthew Janda is another one that seems to be mentioned a lot. If you want something a little more readable Poker Math that Matters by Owens Gaines is good.

The poker bank has articles that helped me at the beginning. If you search with "pokerbank math" I'm sure you'll find them!

the odds are 5/2 in any hand at the mercy of the river 5 parts luck 2 parts patience and skill and oh yah "possible" outcomes of the other players, the betting starts with the 2 parts (your hole cards) and the rest is luck of the draw in 3 stages :dong:

One of the basic calculations but in Texas Hold'em is the probability of hitting your game after the flop. As to the number of OUTS, there are some formulas that calculate your chances of getting set up his hand

Playing with equilab is a great choice - go through a lot of different scenarios to get an idea.

It’s especially important to do certain hands vs ranges, as you want to think in ranges of hands for your opponent vs specific hands (if you know your opponent’s hand exactly, you don’t really need to worry about equity).

Start broad - small pair vs a tight player on the button pre flop. Then narrow it as you go: such as a set on the flop vs a wet board for a loose player in the small blind who Cbet.

A tip - I prefer to use percentages of hands for my opponent. For example, 3% of hands are 99+ and AKs. This is useful as it might apply to a wide range of scenarios. A tight player on the button probably has about the same VPIP and PFR as a loose player in mid position (~30%).

I recommend you study to undestant how players did to discovered determined concept. Like this way I play with a lot of information on PC or live. I know a lot of people who understimated the math in poker, so they are losing ever and I am very much satisfied with all knowledge about poker. The first step is to learn the maximum as much as possibleabout math. Good learning and good career!

Hello

I very simple way to calculate poker odds is the 4-2 rule. The 4 - 2 rule is you take your number of possible outs after the flop times 4 to get those odds. Then after the turn you take your number of possible outs times 2 to get those odds. This method is pretty accurate to the true odds in poker. Good luck !
