I improved significantly with "Getting Started In Hold 'Em" by Ed Miller. I've also been recommended Application of No-Limit Hold 'em by Matthew Janda.
Also check out some of the larger Youtube/Twitch streamers. Lex Veldhuis, Tonkaaaap, and others talk strategy as they play. Very helpful.

I believe that there are people who learn to play just practicing properly. Others only with many hours of study, that is depends largely on the person's profile.

Books have been the best way to learn for me. Doyle Brunson's "Super System" and Sklansky's "Theory of Poker" are propably the most praised books in poker history. People call Super System the Bible of Poker.

Cool trainer I've found

Iv'e recently started with a trainer called Poker-Fighter.

It was completely perfect for my needs.
I find it hard to read a lot of material regarding the thory and the correct plays.

This trainer allowed me to improve my game by actively learning and improving my skiils from pre-flop to river, giving reference to various scenarios in all of the different table positions,

It was the only place that elaborated about the right decisions and gave me full explanations for why to act in a specific manner.\

Hope it'll help you :)

I think once you've got the rules and general idea down "The Course" by Ed Miller is a good book to help you start building a strategy.

If you start again, it is useful to read several books, then you can watch the training video in that you are going to play cash games or tournaments.

As far as poker training software is concerned, Ace Poker Drills is a great way to practice and improve your skills. It only takes at least an hour daily to help you gradually master the fundamentals of playing online poker, like calculating equity, counting odds and outs, and developing a solid pre-flop strategy.

well there are several ways here in our forum Read several posts, even if it's about something you believe to be already mastered after all to reinforce concepts never hurts. Another thing that works very well is YouTube. You find thousands of poker videos there. A tool that is not much talked about, but that may have revolutionized the way we study poker.
Boom replayer from pokerstars. I hope you have helped, Good studies and success at the tables.

For very very beginners i would recommend visiting the Pokerstars Pokerschool course. After you finished with that course you can read up the book in the following link "https://www.amazon.com/Mental-Game-Poker-Strategies-Confidence/dp/0615436137" and than there are books depends on what you're aiming in poker, MTT, SNG or Cash games.
Good luck.

I recommend an App called Pokersnowie. He is very good, assigns a score to his level of play.

There's a lot of things you have to learn to be profitable and probably it will be late to happen, but I think this can be useful to make a research.

1. Choose the right game for you
Choose a game where you are one of the favorites to win, choose the games that have players worse than you. If that is not possible, play just freerolls. If you have money to invest, make a good coaching and you will save your money.

2. Study more than play.
Poker has a lot of mathematic, psychologic, logic and technique concepts. We learn faster when we learn through the experience of others.

3. I really recommend you begin by the mathematic concepts, even you don't know what to do in some situations, you will make right decisions more times when you have a HUD in your head.

Give advice. Where else can you learn poker ? In addition to poker school .
