Lately I find myself obsessed with pot control/floating and rarely re-rasing?

I cant recall the last time I re-raised a pot without having a very strong hand.
Is this bad? or good.

It depends at what stakes you play. At lower limits a lot of players are not going to pay attention to your ranges. Even if they do notice it, they might now how to exploit it or do anything about it.

As you move up in stakes people will recognize your ranges more with each action on the flop and put a lot of pressure on you with your marginal holdings.

I think i see what you mean. Pot control can be a good option when your range is ahead of your opponent's perceived range. If we're talking on the flop, spots I may re-raise is when I have TP weak kicker and I'm pretty damn sure villain (heads up at least) does not have TP or over pair in that spot. Not sure if this is optimal?

More obviously, to protect my hand against a very draw heavy board - re-raise for sure, but is that what you meant?

Yeah that is kinda what I mean,
I still re-raise to protect or to get value,
I use to like playing a very aggressive game and liked to re-raise with the intention on stealing maybe a little too often im not sure whether its good or bad... As above poster mentioned it depends on the stakes we are playing.

Now though where we can play more a pot control style where we may call down villain alot more rather than trying to take down the pot earlier.
my thoughts are this is prob ok as long as we are not to passive and know when to fold,

It might be a case where both styles can be profitable it just depends on the players ability.
Im just not 100% :)
