What's your strategy? I find it successful to play a wider range of hands, rather than playing only good hands. You definitely can't play how you would in a tournament.

I think If you play a wider range of hands, you will lose more at large. Im the kind of person that thinks key of poker is patience :)

I'd say play tight. your angle depends where you are on the table and where the big blind is vs the strength of your hand.

One is for sure you must play a lot of hands to win some money .. but if I'll have to say a strategy that I apply it should be from early positions closed range only nice hand due you don't have information yet and from late positions you can have a wider range like you say you play also you can make more bluffs from this positions... and last but not least you in cash games is very important to vary your game not do always the same strategy that can be trouble because your opponent will read your hand easy what I mean is for a while more loose then more tight vary them ...

Find the weakest players possible.
What did Daniel Negranu say ...

Something like ..... No good being the 10th best player in the world if you are playing against the 9 best

Agree.. try to analyse your opponents and use that wisdom against them. Also play tight and agressive... There is many calling players at small stakes at least.

I play reasonably tight, be patient and I try to find out who is the weakest player.

Each player establishes a strategy of play ... there is no exact strategy that guarantees that you will always win at a cash table ... I can tell you that as we know our opponents better ... more Chance to win we will have ...!

Don't play to consistent. Other players will catch on to your strategy. Play different hands and keep them off balance

read the hand analysis posts to learn how to beat cashgames rather than these ultra vague threads where people just post to try and qualify for the freeroll club

Win a small fortune! (by starting with a large fortune).

Seriously, it depends on what game you are playing and how the other players have chosen to play. A good cash game (and tournament) strategy is one which takes advantage of the mistakes your opponents are making.

Good luck to you!

It really depends on the stake we are talking about, but going to the basic, that means, to the small stakes, the best strategy that can profits most from it is the ABC poker , which is playing the Tight Aggressive style, so, playing few hands and once you enter in a pot, you play it to win, you play it aggressively, especially when you've got position on the table.
Well, that's what most of the book's writers tell us, but we can't say that playing loosely won't bring you some money, surely will, but it's harder to play Loose Aggressive, cause you need to know how to fold a hand in some hard spots, even those that you have already put a lot of money on the felts.

With a wide range of hands to play preferably in late position, since UTG has little chance to profit.

Lately , ive started to play cash games , and i ve had to change a lot about my poker strategies . i found out that to win on cash games u need to have a good read on ur rivals and try to build a good image (solid player ) cause that will help u eventually the time u bluffs and u ll get often to get away with ur bluff . its been a week since i ve started to play cash game , i claim that i ve lost more than i won but i think that im on progress and im feel more comfortable right now

I agree completely. Tournament and cash play are different in many ways. Different strategies are necessary. In cash games, you usually have the option of switching tables. Play those you can beat and avoid the ones you can't.......yet!

If your style of play allows you to win money from opponents, then everything is fine

In cash games it is not always possible to win at small rates of 0.1 cents-0.2 cents and you can sit for a long time to wait for a card, and at large stakes of 0.5-10 cents you can win the players play carefully and on the sly you can win with 9 players, Way to raise money, but if you have money and you know how to play well and is confident in your abilities to win

cash game is not on what is not similar! :) it all depends on the opponents 27 sometimes it is difficult to throw, it's important not to get carried away weak map + mandatory bluff :) you Need to choose the right table to play! Which game do you personally have used as you are comfortable playing fast, slow, aggressive or not. One strategy to watch your opponents very carefully and try to guess! :)
