Just posting my channel link here to you tube. Just put up my first video. This is not what I will usually be doing but it's kind of a tester video. I will be focusing on RUSH tournaments in all my videos to come.

Subscribe if you like.

out of curiosity why the limp with 810s in early position? if you get reraised what do you do? call? Then you're out of position with only a few flops you can be in good standing with

Why not check back the flop??

Maybe you could see the turn and then his bet on the turn wouldn't be as large because the pot wasn't built up on the flop....

I was actually waiting for someone to ask this...Due to it being a rebuy I limp a lot of hands in different positions. A regular rush tourney or 135 man sng I am def not limping 10 8. I Play loose game in the beginning in the rebuys to build a large stack and if I bust i try again...I have gotten fairly deep in a lot of rush rebuys the past month or so so it seems to be a good strategy for now.

Very good point, the same reasoning that applies to the turn could most definitely apply to the flop saving us even more if we don't hit. I like the conversations!

More than likely hes betting about half of his re-raise initially on the flop so id say the turn would be about half of what he bet as well. I think you're absolutely right on this one.

I'm not an expert, so someone please correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the analysis is off on the Monster Draw video.

On the flop, when villian check-raises to 660, you're getting 2:1 pot odds at almost 5:1 against hitting your straight on the turn. If he was all-in, then you'd be getting about 2:1 odds of hitting it by the river, and a call would probably be worth it, but it seems like you should have folded here. You don't mention implied odds, so I'm not sure if you were factoring those in, but if he's only got an Ace with a good kicker, you might not get that much more out of him. Two pair or a set might pay you off depending on how scary the board gets.

On the turn, you counted the 6h & Jh twice, so you really only have 15 outs instead of 17. Not a huge difference, but still something to be aware of. After his bet, you're getting 2.5:1 pot odds at 2:1 against hitting one of your outs, so I think mathematically the call was correct here, but it's unfortunate to be compelled to put in so much of your stack on a draw.

One other thing I just noticed - If villian has a set or two pair, then you lose at least one and maybe two outs to a full house. (Eg. If villian has 7's, then the 9h gives him a full house and the 7h is either in his hand or gives him quads.) If that's the case, then you're down to 13 outs (2.54:1 odds of winning) and your call (at 2.46:1 pot odds) has become slightly -EV or at best a coin flip.

Appreciate the inbsight though, honestly, ppl should learn the right way (no sarcasm)

I would have had a hard time trying to figure all that out at the table, but the books I'm reading make me want to get better at it, so I'm working on practicing this sort of analysis so that it will eventually become more natural or even automatic. Plus, if we're honest with ourselves, then we learn more from our mistakes than our successes. Whatever you're doing seems to be working overall, so your instincts must be generally good.
