I thought that K-7 would take the pot because of the kicker. Or is it because the community cards in this case render our low kickers insignificant with each of us having K-K-10-9-8??? And if he had a Jack he would take the pot? Am i correct in thinking this? Sorry I know its a noob question

It is all good.. it is better to know. it is split because the best hand on board is KK 10, 9 , 8.... neither yours or his kicker plays, and you are also correct if he has a jack then his kicker would out kick you and he would win.

well anyway the pot should be very small playing K7 vs K3 furthermore the naked king came in the river and worst than that with such a board who is going to defend his TP?

and unless you are playing HU or SB vs BB these hand shouldnt exist at all, at least imho

I think both of us checked till the river and I went for a semi-steal when the king came on. He called and we split. I was just wondering. Thanks for the feedback!
