I agree that timing is a tell as to what your opponent is holding, but you have to be careful making assumptions like "he always bluffs after waiting 5 seconds" or "he always has it when he bets fast". Timing is just one part of the game of incomplete information, along with bet sizings and other patterns. Also, don't forget some people multi-table and their timings are often sporadic and near impossible to read. Starting off, timing is one of the tells
you should worry about least, at higher play is when it becomes a bigger factor. So no, it's not worth paying attention to until you are more advanced in the game (probably professional).
