You should really learn to remove "luck" from your vocabulary. You have to understand that it is all math. There is no 100% winner. There is always a percentage of times you are going to lose. Most of the time there is a good chance the dog wins. Even when you are pair over pair or a large pair over random cards you are only an 80% favorite. That means
1 out of 5 times you will lose.
Most of the time you are very close to 50/50. This is why most of the players that excel at poker play a lot of pots. This is also why LAG can be so effective if well played.
If you review
hands and really took a second to see, "what beats me" and start counting hands that are ahead, regardless of the possibility of the villain holding them, you will start to see there are actually a lot of hands that are ahead.
Try your best to not put all your chips or your tournament life on the line with 1 hand, no matter what it is, as much as possible. Learn to control the pot and play more pots. Learn to really look at what hands could have you beat and put players on hands. This will reduce the "luck" the villains have.
